Last Day in Santorini
On Saturday, I convinced the husband to rent a motorcycle. Starting at about 10:30 am we drove from one end of the island to the other. Light house in background of bottom picture. We went to the Ancient Ruins and what you are gazing at is an Ancient Theatre that overlooks the sea, just one section of the ancient city. We were so tempted to ride those Donkeys, but never did....so I just photographed them. And finally, our last beautiful sunset over the sea.
Caldera Excursion on the King Thera
On Friday, we took an excursion on a boat named KING THERA shown on bottom. Moving up shows our first stop to an active Volcano. We followed the rest of the tourists up, up, up, and up. One of them was willing to take a photo of us! Our last stop was at a port were we had lunch. There were always other boats and other people, but the crowds didnt really bother us...we were all so awestruck that everyone was happy and giggly.

Greece
Starting at bottom you see the view from our pool at the Royal Myconian in Mykonos. The middle photo shows the view from our room at the hotel in Santorini. We are pretty high up. The top photo was actually taken from the inside of our room at the Volcano Views Hotel in Santorini.....pretty cool huh? Oh and that ring in the water in the middle picture is a containment for oil leaked from a sunken cruise ship...glad I was not on it.

From bottom to top the women were at the Parthenon in Athens. The sights have been very crowded as bus load after bus load of folks enter. The middle photo is in an area of Mykonos called Little Venice as in the background you can see the buildings emerge from the sea. We were there to see the sunset. The top photo is the view of the beach from our room in Mykonos. I dont want to tell you the number of steps we had to go down to get there and climb back up to our room. But I will tell you I did not need to visit the gym. More tomorrow as now the internet is free at our hotel in Santorini. The view is magnificent and I am afraid to even try to photograph it as surely a photo cant capture the beauty.

Boats on the Green.
The boats are safely out of the water and will wait patiently for our return.
Meanwhile I'm sorry to say that despite wonderful company and very good food,
I don't think I will be returning to Siam in Lambertville any time soon. It was so loud last night,
I could barely hear my friends from across the small table. The mother who entertained her child by allowing spoons to be banged on the table and then neglecting to take the screeching
toddler outside didn't help. Nor did the restaurateurs who did not offer it as a suggestion.
With so many wonderful restaurants in the area there is no need to return.

New Paved Roads in the Crossing
I have lived in the crossing for over 20 years and this is the first time my neighborhood has been properly paved, despite 3 major floods. They came in waves with all kinds of tremendous equipment, taking about three days. They came very close to my corner garden but did not bend a blade. Great job guys.
