Its been a While
We made it through the feasts of Thanksgiving and are heading into the chaos of Christmas. Not without Hannukah popping up in between. Then my favorite, the New Year celebrations. It is hard to imagine a better year then last. Who would have imagined that after taking leave from my job in January I would retire in June. And who ever would have thought that Furman and I would travel Italy on a motorcycle in October. And the most unexpected of all, who ever could have imagined that I would be selling photos at a busy Garden Center not more than a mile from my home. I could not be more delighted. I am grateful for all my good fortune, health and happiness. I adore my family and friends. Let there be Peace. Imagine.

Got another Client
Jon Kontz from Jonkontzlandscaping.com did the landscaping for me in the front of my house last year. Since then we have become friends and he asked me to take some pictures of his projects for his portfolio. Today he told me he was very pleased with the pictures I took for him and gave me another property to shoot. Im getting paid now for taking pictures......I love it.

One more from the top, tatterred flags and graves
About a week ago, I took a walk down by the river, just east of the BHWFP. In all the years that I have lived here and all the times I have driven right by on River Road, I had never been down there and I knew it was part of the Washington Crossing Park. I went on a whim and then followed the signs to the gravesites of known and unknown soldiers who fought in the American Revolution. For some reason I never posted the pictures...Something about the tatterred flag disturbed me. I was surprised when from the top of Bowman's Tower, as I scanned the landscape and tried to follow the river I could distinctly see the white grave stones and flag pole. I love my Olympus 26x zoom.
More from Above
Im always the one taking pictures so I try to find ways to include myself via shadow, reflection, mirror image. One day Ill put all self portraits together in a file. But for now, Ill try to stick to the topic which is view from above. From the top: East, north, west, south and once more a long look towards New Hope/Lambertville and 202 bridges. Bowmans Tower
