The Bench
Furman rescued a bench from the river. He told me it had a dedication on it and thought it might have been one of the benches on the Jersey side of the Washington Crossing State Park that we often see covered by high waters. I suggested he try to return it. He did some research to that end. As it turns out, it was washed out of the Bowmans Hill Wildflower Preserve, a bit further north. It is likely that it came down the mountain in tact by way of the Pidcock Creek. It was donated by Bob Krist, in memory of his son. Perhaps I will get to meet the locally famed photographer.
