MONEY, A NEW MOTORCYCLE and GONZO

Big excitement here now that Nephie has a motorcycle...Took him to grab some cash and make his purchase and it wasnt long before he left me in the dust....

When I got home the weather was just about perfect and some friends came to launch a canoe...
It looked so peaceful on the water, I wondered if it could be liquified and thats where the gonzo comes in...I liked the effect so much, I used it in the garden to create
Butterfly Washingtonian also known by its common name BUTTERFLY FLOWER, a native to Washington Crossing, PA

A Day at the Farm a Night at Play

Thursday was farm day for me and the flowers were  blooming. Caught the little cutey out in the field picking flowers with her grown ups.

When I got home I just had to play.

As darkness fell, I took some glow sticks outside and tried with limited succes to photograph the light they emitted.  With a little help I grew a glow flower

and made a kalidaglobe.

Something New - Can you Collage?

I learned something new and now I know how to make collages.  Of course, I still need lots and lots of practice, but I get the idea.

Dewey Beach, DE

Time for a long weekend on the motorcycle and Furman wanted to go over the Cape May Lewes Ferry so we headed out in the dang rain on Friday for Dewey Beach, De.  It rained most of the way but it did not really matter because we had good rain gear and stayed dry.  I could hardly believe it when we arrived at the Ferry and the sun popped out and stayed out for the entire boat road.

It is a fairly nice free beach with all kinds of stuff going on.  Dogs and ball games allowed until 10 am when the life guards show up and then again when they leave.  Nice wide beach.  It is yellowish though...not like some of our white Jersey beaches...still quite nice.

Had to dabble a bit in black and white as todays Daily Challenge on the Forum is just that.  I could use some practice as you can see.

August Days

We finally got some much needed rain......so I went to the river and did a ballerina dance.
On the way back up the steps I noticed the brown leaves and really took heed of what all the heat this summer has caused..perhaps an early fall?  But as trees loose their leaves other critters are preparing for more.  Saw these Silk Moths at the preserve when I arrived for my volunteering at 9am.  They stayed like this until I left at 1pm. It was right about then that I learned they will die soon after seperating but not before the female lays her eggs..if she is lucky.  Still playing around working on FUNKY FLORALS, Kalides and Kalidaglobes.
