Sunday Funday in Cape May

This is such a cool image in so many ways, not to mention, the record of my first beach visit of the season, with my good friend Kathy.

We went to Cape May to do a little tidying up of house, eat well, exercise and relax.  Well things don't always turn out as planned and no one could have imagined the washing machine springing a leak and eating up a good part of our morning.  So I did not get out to shoot until after noon.  The light was harsh and bright and luckily it was a magnificent day with a cool ocean breeze blowing.  I waited while people walked onto the beach and passed, and then the gull started flying around and I positioned myself to have the sand, water and sky take up thirds, put the guards at left middle and set the fence to guide you in.  I adjusting the lighting in windows live and signed off in CS3.
Thank you Kathy for the opportunity to enjoy your company, dine in and out, stroll the promenade,
eat fudge..........

Delaware Issues Common Cents: Friends

Recently I have had house guests.  A two night visit from a women I knew as a girl and traveled through elementary school with and a longer stay from friends I met not that long ago traveling the internet. There are so many opportunities to nurture friendships, both old and new. I like to take  them.   Time is the necessary investment and joy the dividend.   It only takes Common Cents to make this investment.

Iphone Fun and Special Friends

For over a year now, I have been carrying my Olympus OM-D with me where ever I go.
Every now and then I pull out the Iphone for a quick, no adjusting settings, image.
It was a real surprise to answer my door and receive these flowers on my 25th anniversary.
Especially when I looked at my husband and smiled and he was shaking his head
as if saying, NOPE, not from me!
Some friends are just very thoughtful and special.

You Say Its Your Birthday

It happens every year and this year we decided to share it.
Furman's birthday fell on a Saturday night and we couldnt think of anything better to do than invite a few friends.  10 was a perfect number for comfortable seating around the table and food prep, and what a feast we had.
Kathy started us off with an appetizer and prepared some home made cranberry sauce.
Ruth provided the salad.  The rest of the guests contributed libations and help.

The Pea Diet works so much better when you add turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy.  The turkey was particularly delicious if I must say so myself.  I will forever and always brine my turkeys

Of course, we could not invite everyone and Jack was left out.

Phyllas Dylafire was invited but only available for a short appearance.  She left us with a warm glow for the remainder of the evening.
