Return to the Grounds for Sculpture.

It was a great day at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton with my sister, thanks to my good friend Kathy for the guest passes.  The special Retrospective exhibit is still going on and  I suspect it was due to the overcast skies that there were not too many guests.  The lotus and lilies were blooming in multiple spots.  The meadow was in bloom.  We lunched at the Peacock CafĂ©.  Sister had a Cobb Salad, that was so big she couldn't finish and I had the French Dip.  This was cafeteria style so along with our food we grabbed a bag of chips to share and fountain root beers and took our tray outside to enjoy lunch in the Acer Courtyard.  I would say it was reasonably priced at $28. and since it was basically self serve no tip was necessary.

Funniest of day

Pixoto

I just found Pixoto which is a pretty cool site from what I can see.  I submitted PUNKIN HEAD to the Pumpkin contest and can watch it move up a series of photos via 2 picture duels.  I searched around the site and noticed Lilies seemed to be favored in the Nature Close up: Flower Category so I entered this one which you might recall being from Kew Garden ...Now I want to go look for my Bird of Paradise images and enter one of them.  I think I might be addicted to Photography!

London Day 8 Royal Botanical Kew Gardens

It was raining, it was pouring, there was no man snoring....
Before leaving for London I was advised to do many things.  No one mentioned
Even with the rain it was a great place to visit and explore.  I can only imagine what it must be like on a warm spring day.  I was surprised to see so much in bloom and the integration of edibles and ornamentals.  This is a place to come back to again and again.  Hmmmmm sure would be nice if I could.
