Delaware Views Hues of Red

 

Took BMW Motorcycle ride to Sky Manor for breakfast on Sunday and saw this in the lot....there must have been some sort of gathering because there were quite a few old cars there.  When I first got my drivers license I remember wanting either a Mustang convertible or an MG.  Someone gave this car a lotta loven.

 

 

But the real reason to go to Sky Manor besides breakfast of course is to watch the planes.

Or in this case, Helicopters

 

Some folks think RED is hard to shoot.  I'm thinking my black dog is even harder.

What a great week.  I ordered my new camera on Friday.  On Saturday, we took a nice ride up to sky manor to see the experiemental planes

The camera arrived on Tuesday with a 30 page paper manual on the basics and and the rest of it stored on a disc.  I didnt really want to download it but I had no choice if I wanted to learn.

Took a while, but I figured out how to shoot in manual and download pics.  Got a long way to go before I have command of ALL the settings.  Thursday's farm bounty finally delivered on the tomatoes and that should keep me busy for the next day or so and should give me some home time to figure out how Im going to carry Olympia out and about. 

Looking forward to getting to know her and her manual too.

 

 

Saturday Morning Breakfast Ride to Sky Manor Airport and Restaurant

Took a nice ride this morning out to Sky Manor Airport and Restaurant.  We had a fine breakfast for less than $20 including tip and thats how we like it.  The decor was definately plane.  After we ate we sat outside and watched the small planes come in.  That red plane was so clean and the prop so shiny I was able to see my reflection in it.  We took the long way home, picking up route 519, one of our favorites, down into Milford.  And finally, I was able to get a good shot of that River Road Mule from the back of the bike while cruising past.  I just love shooting pictures while sitting on the back of the bike.
