Variations of Flora From Home and the Preserve

3 indoor cacti

Columbine at home

Pipe Vine

Fiddlehead

Lady Slipper
Just some of the wide variation of plants that grow in our area as natives or non.  From the thorny cactus to the dainty columbine, to the strange pipe vine, and odd development of the fern that starts as a fiddle head.  Finally the lady slipper that looks like its name sake but would hardly be big enough for my big toe.

It has been a strange winter and spring, such that things sprung up early due to the unusually warm seasons.  Sadly, when the weather then turned a little cool many early food crops, like peaches were damaged as they had just bloomed too early to sustain the wave of cold and harsh winds.
