Sunday Funday at Eastern State Penitentiary

If I ever had to be incarcerated I would not want it to be here, at Eastern State Penitentiary.  However, it is a great place to visit and photograph and learn about the prison system and its early beginnings.  It is very cool on the outside with tall watch towers.

This was my second visit and guides were walking around offering short tours of locked areas.  So we got past this gate and into the hospital and operation room.

There are always art exhibits inside with artist interpretations relating somehow to prisons and prisoners.  In this case portraits of murder victims hanging in two prison cells attracted my attention.

Al Capone had a stay here but you will have to go visit to see it....Or perhaps Ill find reason to post it later this week.
